Catching up!!

Last weekend I was lucky enough to be part of Sarah's Card's retreat at Warrington. A fantastic time was had by everyone who attended - I'm only just recovering now!! - and we got to take part in 6 wonderful classes created by some of the Design Team & their glamorous assistants!!

Me & the girls - still scrapping inbetween classes!!

Group photo borrowed 'with love' from Sarah's Blog!!

Energetic!!

Just a quick post today - home from doing the Bramhall Park Run which is my weekly attempt at keeping fit!! Actually starting to really enjoy it which is something I thought I'd never say! Best thing is being outdoors with a load of other people & getting to see the park at it's best! And it's free!

Slightly less energetic than that is a bit of paper work, this time using Shimelle's Starting Point and my end product

Off to wash away the mud now! Thanks for looking xx

Excting times!

Just realisd how long it's been since my last post & thought I should remedy it before the start of a new month!
It's been very busy around here as we are planning a whole load of home improvements - very exciting but daunting at the same time! Hopefully once everything is done I will be enjoying my other passion of creating yummy things in a brand new kitchen!

I have found some time to create some pages - a couple of weeks ago I met up with the girls for our regular monthly get-together and also squeezed in another day with my chum Denise.

A while ago I signed up to a class hosted by Shimelle Pretty Paper Party and these 1st two pages were inspired by lessons from that class - the butterfly one is an almost direct scraplift as I just loved the idea, and the other was a lesson encouraging the use of lots of patterned papers & stacking

This next page is a Christmas LO using very much non-Christmas papers & shows of my love of using random photos taken on my phone using Hipstamatic - quirky is good!!

I tend to scrap photo by photo rather than by concentrating on one event at a time which stops me getting bored and means my completed albums are a mix of styles and papers rather than all the pages looking the same. The next LO is from summer holidays in France

My final offering is another holiday page but this time with no people! We spent some time at the D-Day Normandy Landing beaches - a sombre topic but one I wanted to capture for the album

More playing!

Monday's are a bit of a regular scrapping' day for me - my friend comes over, we put the world to rights, have lunch & all being well do the odd LO between us! Here's today's offering - every so often I make myself use only paper from my scraps box!!

My weekends efforts!

On Saturday I got to play with paper along with some like-minded chums - great day as always and quite productive too, well 2 LO's is good for me!!

I got the idea for my 1st page from Shannon Tidwell and used it to mark my 'coming of age'!!! The Kraft cardstock was misted first in an assortment of Mr Huey's and then I just got number happy!! (apologies for the photo - bad light!!)

It worked!!

Ok, now I know that bit works posting should be a whole lot easier! Watch this space!!

More testing!

Now trying blogging with a picture from my phone!
If this works the LO is of no.2 son with a whole load of guinea pigs that were living freely at the campsite we stayed at in Normandy. The papers are a mixture from a few of Sarah's Card's kits x
